This flock of big horn sheep rams well above the timberline at Rocky Mountain National Park. It was exciting to me to get to see this many rams together. Larry

A burrowing owlet in easter Washington, testing its wings. Just a few minutes later this owlet took what appeared to be its first flight. All ended well with no mishaps. Larry

It appears this burrowing owl adult may be giving me the “evil eye”? From our trip in 2010, taken in eastern Washington. Watching the burrowing owls and their owlets was great fun. Larry

The female moose that is beginning to shed her winter coat looks like she just heard a funny joke, or perhaps is just happy as spring has arrived. Larry
