Sandhill crane

During our recent trip to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge this sandhill crane would occassionally stick its head up above a berm it was hiding behind. After a few attempts I was successful at getting this image where it appears to be wondering what I was doing. 🙂

We are hoping to return to Bosque sometime in January.
