Yesterday on a rainy day we rode the bus in Denali National Park and Preserve to Eielson and back. It was nice and cool. We got on the bus at 6 AM and our hopes of seeing wildlife by catching the earliest bus was rewarded.

A male ptarmigan. These birds are a bit hard to catch standing still it seems as they are always scurrying somewhere.
