We just enjoyed another peaceful night on the Oregon coast. Finally got to see one of the magnificent sunsets one hears talked about by many people. When driving into town this morning we also enjoyed a few more of the Scenic view points and pull outs along the Pacific Coast Highway.

Just a few quick images from last night. We are off to do some more exploring of this beautiful Oregon coast today.

As you can see the fog finally lifted the sun was close to setting and it was a very pretty sunset!

This afternoon the fog just kept getting bigger and thicker. After going to town and running a few errands, grocery store, Starbucks and a laundromat we drove up here to this large pull off. We had dinner while watching the fog thicken. It is now lifting a little. Hopefully there won’t be any bad accidents tonight.

This will be a short post as it is getting close to bedtime. Hope everyone in Missouri is doing well and we should be home by November. 

We took a short drive today to view some more of the scenery here along the Pacific Coast of Oregon.

We finally have a site that we felt was worth posting a photo of. This is from a campground south of Nederlander, Colorado. We have a few more nights booked here while we are waiting on some parts to arrive for our Roadtrek.

There are some pretty little yellow flowers growing here at the campground. It is been cool enough that it is not been very busy here. Currently 59° and a bit breezy. Not sure how cold it got last night but the furnace and extra blanket sure felt great.

Hoping that everyone back home is doing great. We are hoping that sometime early next week we can head further west and get some more photographs.

Our last couple of days of been interesting to say the least. On Thursday while following the bus over to the Clydesdales farm our side rear tire blew out. Kudos to Roadtrek as it was very easy to maneuver it over to the side of the Interstate. When the tire blew we also noticed a lot of smoke?

After using OnStar to get a flatbed (as we had no brakes) we were hauled to Bob McCosh Chevrolet in Columbia, MO. They ordered the tire and metal brake line and we spent the night in Geraldine III on their lot. About noon today the parts arrived and a few hours later John had us ready to go!

Marilyn had called Cottonwood RV Park when it happened to let them know we would not be back for the final night of the the Region 7 Roadtrek Rally. When we called them to see about returning they were very accommodating, allowing us to stay tonight with no additional fee!

All in all a very interesting couple of days. I am just very sorry that we were not able to go to Warmsprings Farm, home of the Budweiser Clydesdales! Marilyn would have enjoyed it so much.

We will be heading out tomorrow to continue our summer travels and hope to be able to share some of the sights we see along the way.
