Big

Another big tree. Not a record, just big and tall. One of many along the Sol Duc River east of Forks, WA.

The trees just go up and up and up.

From Aberdeen to Forks, WA today, with a side trip or two.

Highway 101, into the rain forests.

Worlds largest spruce tree, sign below.

Sign.

Us, near the entry to one part of the park.

We saw a little of the Pacfic ocean today and lots and lots of trees.

Oregon coast

Along the Oregon coast today. Near Newport, OR.

Sea stack along the beach, near low tide.

Same sea stack, closer view.

Closer view of both the sea stacks.

56° when we awoke on the Oregon coast this morning. This cool weather is fantastic!

Oregon Coast

A few images from today’s visit to the Oregon coast. The weather is beautiful. High about 70 today. A bit windy, but not too bad.

We are enjoying our trip immensely,
Larry

St. Joe River, Idaho

We left Missoula, Montana early this morning. We decided to drive a scenic byway in Idaho. We had to drive about 10 miles of road in Montana to get to the byway in Idaho. The entire drive was very scenic. However, it did take most of the day.

The St. Joe River starts out fairly small.

It gradually grows in size as you traverse down the mountain on a nice 2 lane blacktop road.

The scenery is wild and wonderful.

Here we are parked in one of the few pullouts alongside the river.
