During our recent trip to El Paso, Texas and Bosque del Apache NWR in New Mexico we dropped by to visit Ken and Dottie Short near Houston. They kindly escorted us to Goose Island State Park for some visiting time and some photo opportunities. Some of those images along with others from Bosque are below.

Love the first picture of the Sandhill Cranes – always a good subject for Art. Nice blog!
Thank you for the compliments. You have a very nice and unique Web site, well done!
Great shot of the coyote with the cranes in the foreground!
Thank you Nathan. We enjoyed being in Bosque during the Festival. Almost more people than birds though. LOL
Outstanding. I especially like the color contrast in a number of the shots. Nice Caracara.
Sing this…’You’ve been everywhere man’! And you images show it. Nice assortment of photos. I ‘like’ all the Texas birds. Work up this morning and Time Machine was working on the desktop. Going to get my daughter to try FaceTime sound today.
Thank you Dottie. Just got up here in El Paso. Slept in the house when the cat wasn’t rattling the window shade or trying to open the door. Did not get a lot of sleep, may have to get a Starbucks, SOON! 🙂
Great pictures Larry. Did the coyote ever get lunch?
Regards to Marilyn!
I think he finally gave up and moved on. The cranes seemed to be so accustomed to his presence they were not bothered.
