Texas images

After a few days without Internet and a couple of nights at High Island and Anahuac NWR we have returned to civilization. ๐Ÿ™‚

Below are a few of the images we were able to obtain and now share with you. We hope you enjoy them.

First is a large alligator we saw on the bank of an irrigation canal at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge.

Below is a Great Egret in breeding colors bringing nest building material back to its mate. This was in High Island, TX.

Below is a tricolored heron taking flight from the rookery at High Island, TX

Below is a great egret and it chicks, probably asking to be fed.

Below is another great egret with two chicks, one of which is being very insistent in asking to be fed. ๐Ÿ™‚
