A county court house built in 1886

While on our trip to El Paso to visit relatives we meandered along some the state and federal highways as we had plenty of time. It was very pleasant to be off the heavily traveled Interstates. This gave us a chance to see many smaller towns, some doing quite well and others not so well. It also gave us an opportunity to take a few photos of something other than birds or wildlife. I hope you like this one.

Below is an image of the Bosque county Texas court house. Located in Meridian, Texas, it appears to be constructed of marble and has been beautifully maintained. Built in 1886 it has stood the test of time very well. The Bosque county area was settled by people from England, Germany and Norway according to some literature we found.

Nice. I bet those trees are really old also. Oklahoma has some nice center of town courthouses. One in Cordell and Sayre come to mine.
