Alaska

Late this afternoon we were able to obtain a few images we feel are representative of summer in Alaska.

Fireweed almost blooming to the top. We have heard that this signals the end of summer. This also shows that in August they have very cloudy skies.

A bumblebee doing its job of gathering pollen and then spreading it around to other plants.

A view to the east from Valdez. Fireweed, lakes, spruce trees and snow on the mountains.
